Shreveport Police Department announces six arrests in mass auto dealership theft ring

The theft of nearly two dozen vehicles from a southeast Shreveport auto dealership in November became a four-month investigation that led to six arrests, the last one in March.

Property crimes detectives from the Shreveport Police Department tracked 22 vehicles stolen from Morgan Buick GMC at the corner of Business Park Drive and Bert Kouns Industrial Loop, according to a news release. Each step led to a new arrest, as did a tip to Crime Stoppers.

The SPD investigators have accused dealership employee, Joshua Ratliff, of stealing key fobs that were used to take the vehicles, which police say were then stolen by a number of accomplices.
